The NFL on Monday announced the prospects who will be attending the NFL Draft later this month, and interestingly, one of the top quarterbacks available isn’t included on the list.
Colorado signal-caller Shedeur Sanders, widely considered one of the top two quarterbacks on most team’s draft boards, was not among the players announced to be attending.
Other notables who won’t be at the draft in person include Penn State tight end Tyler Warren and Georgia pass rusher Jalon Walker.
Sanders’ Buffaloes teammate, cornerback/wide receiver Travis Hunter, is included on the attendees list, as is the expected top quarterback selected (and potential overall No. 1 choice) Cam Ward of Miami.
Other quarterbacks who will join those two in Green Bay, Wisconsin on April 24 are Ole Miss’ Jaxson Dart and Alabama’s Jalen Milroe.
Among other attendees expected to have their names called early are Boise State running back Ashton Jeanty, Arizona wide receiver Tetairoa McMillan, Penn State defensive end Abdul Carter and Michigan defensive tackle Mason Graham.
They’ll be joined in Green Bay with fellow top prospects Texas wide receiver Matthew Golden, LSU offensive tackles Will Campbell, Ohio State offensive tackle Josh Simmons, Texas A&M defensive end Shemar Stewart and Michigan cornerback Will Johnson.
Milroe will have fellow Crimson Tide players guard Tyler Booker and linebacker Jihaad Campbell there to keep him company. Georgia will be represented by safety Malaki Starks and defensive end Mykel Williams.
